Solo Sausage Recipe
Solo Sausage or known as ‘ Sosis Solo ’is a typical food from Solo, Central Java, Indonesia.
Talking about the types of typical Indonesian food, it cannot be separated from the history. Like it or not, Indonesian food is influenced by foreign cultures, especially the Dutch. Solo sausage is a typical snack food from Solo city on the island of Central Java, Indonesia. The origin of the Solo Sausage is said to be because the people wanted to try European sausages made from ground meat dough mixed with milk. However, Indonesians do not like drinking milk, so it is processed with Javanese flavors using garlic, pepper, and nutmeg.
Ingredients for Crepes:
(you can use your favorite crepe recipe)
1/2 cup warm water
1 cup milk
4 large eggs
4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted, plus more to sauté
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 Tbsp granulated sugar
pinch of salt
Chicken Ingredients (filling)
6 chicken thighs, boiled, remove bones, shreded ( you can use boneless as well )
* 80 ml thick coconut milk
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 tsp sugar
* 2 pieces of lime leaves
* 1 cm crushed ginger
* 1 bay leaf
Spices:
* 3 cloves of garlic
* 4 red onions
* 1 teaspoon ground pepper
* 1 tsp coriander
* 3 candlenuts
Instructions
- Mix chopped garlic, onion, ground pepper, corriander and candlenuts
- Sauté spices until fragrant. Add thick coconut milk, sugar and salt. Stir until the coconut milk with low heat until shrink. Taste, lift. Set aside
- After you have made the chicken filling, make the crepe skin.
- Put the filling in the crepe skin. Roll it.
- Dip the crepe in egg before frying for a crunchier and more savory crepe skin.
